In the middle of the Second World War, seven Soviet officers were locked up and abandoned in the cellar of a hilltop monastery in southern Poland. Two survived by eating the other five. Judgement is the attempt by the survivor who remained sane to justify what he did.

– "totally compelling ... an enthralling piece of theatre, not to be missed” – Guardian

StopGap’s Artistic Directors team up once again as Sue Baxter directs Alexander Rogers in this extraordinary true story of betrayal, cannibalism, and insanity.

The terrifyingly intimate Burton Taylor – the Oxford Playhouse’s studio – is the perfect venue for this astonishing play.

– “heart wrenchingly powerful” – Oxford Times on Sue Baxter’s production of The Crucible

– “broody and brilliant” – Fringe Report (2009) on Alexander Rogers
